Up until now I've not seen a lot of freelance writers talk about times when they're not hitting 5k a month or getting a 50% open rate on their cold pitches.

I got 2 nos due to my location.
I freelance from Nigeria and I can tell you that nothing hurts more than hearing a company can't hire Internationally. It's lil you're so close and then you fall.
Some of the nos had to do with prices (it's amazing how low people will go

In a few days I'll find out if I'll add numbers to the no or yes section. Fingers crossed.
Freelancing has taught me not to hope too much. Until the cash is in the bank, the deal is not sealed.
The one yes I got was for a guest post.
really excited to work on it.

Observations
Pitching almost every day has made writing them easier
Having templates and automating the process is crucial
The more nos you get the tougher your skin gets
Sadly location plays a role in your chances of success

And here's some unsolicited advice to someone having a bad month
Don't let the success of others deter you from doing what you need to do.
If Twitter gets too depressing, go offline.
Focus on what you're doing. Keep sending those pitches.

Well, writing this felt good.
can't wait to see what February holds.
