So after hours of deliberation and script-editing, I have finally decided on my Top 10 Kanye Songs... The thread below will detail why I love each one, their significance to me or their overall impact on hip-hop. Keep in mind I did not include anything from KSG/WTT. Enjoy!

20. Pinocchio Story
This song is Kanye's way of expressing his disdain towards fame and the struggles that come with it. This is further accentuated by the audience cheering him on in the background, seemingly unaware of or ignorant to what Kanye is trying to say.

19. Hey Mama
In this song, Kanye uses his platform to speak directly to his mother, and to thank her for all she has done for him. It's an emotional song that anyone with a mom can relate to, and it legitimately makes me tear up every time I hear it.

18. Spaceship
This song is the definition of a banger. Everything about it screams "radio hit", with a killer hook, great verses from Kanye, GLC and Consequence, and a very catchy beat. Kanye also drops some of his funniest lines on this track, like the one seen below...

17. Heard 'Em Say
Heard 'Em Say is the best example of a karaoke song that Kanye has ever really given us. I just can't help but sing along every time Adam Levine's light, clear voice rings throughout the beautiful chorus of the song. Easily one of Kanye's best intro tracks.

16. I Wonder
This song is arguably Kanye's soul-inspired production at its finest. The whole song just feels so melodic and soothing, with these beautiful keys playing repeatedly in the background. Mixed with Graduation's signature electronic flair, a fantastic song emerges.

15. Dark Fantasy
To me, this song is everything an intro track should be. Not only does it begin w/ a piece of spoken-word that hooks you in immediately, it functions as an amazing song all on its own. In fact, there was a brief moment in time where this was my fav Ye song

14. Don't Like.1
Now, I know what you're thinking - "Jacob, isn't this a remix of a Chief Keef song?" Well, yes, and for that reason I was hesitant to include it. However, the next-level lyricism seen on this track ultimately convinced me that it deserved a spot on this list.

13. Monster
I mean, is there really much I can say about this song that everyone else hasn't? Ignoring Jay's verse, everyone here came with a golden pen and it shows. In particular, Nicki's verse stands out to me as one of the best to ever be spat by an MC, period.

12. RoboCop
In my opinion, this song features one of Kanye's best hooks and performances as a vocalist. While the production could have used a little work, Kanye more than makes up for it with his witty banter and the uplifting, cheery beat on the song's chorus. And this joke

11. Homecoming
Homecoming is Kanye's heartfelt, personal ode to his hometown of Chicago and all it has done for him. He personifies the Windy City as a female that he's always trying to impress and live up to, assisted by a gorgeous instrumental and stellar Chris Martin hook.

10. FML
FML is one of my favorite Kanye songs mainly due to the excellent production it displays and the mind-blowing vocal performance Abel delivers on the hook. Like Real Friends and Saint Pablo, this track further develops the unique, serene production style seen on TLOP.

9. Touch The Sky
This song contains what is, in my opinion, one of Kanye's best-ever instrumentals. It's the type of beat that just makes you want to get up and celebrate, no matter the occasion. Lupe also kills the 3rd verse, which is what actually introduced me to his work!

8. Late
One of his most underrated and under-appreciated songs. Kanye spits his damnedest on this track, with witty one-liners like "I'll be there in five minutes, five hours later?
I'll be there in five minutes" and "Like old folks pissin', I guess it all depends, oh"

7. Real Friends
In this song, Kanye talks about the deterioration of his relationships with friends and family. He expresses how difficult it is to tell if someone really likes him for him, or for his money. Travis Scott's feature on the track also helps convey this message.

6. Devil In A New Dress
For me, this song is a perfect 10/10. Whether it be the stellar production, the chilling Rick Ross feature, or Kanye's signature witty humour, there is nothing about this track that I don't love. An absolute fucking masterpiece of a song, no debate

5. Runaway
While I don't think this song is as flawless as DIAND, it def has higher highs - Kanye's proclamation that the love of his life should "runaway" from the monster that he has become never fails to give me chills. Even the outro managed to grow on me eventually

4. Gorgeous
This song without question features Kanye's best lyricism to date. Regardless of whether he wrote these verses or not, the way he delivered them was unlike anything ever seen before. This was where Ye truly came into his own as a lyricist and not just a producer.

3. Saint Pablo
This is Kanye at his mental peak, before his breakdown & before he decided to only make Christian music. If you think about it, SP is really the last glimpse Kanye gave us into his personal life, and that rawness collides with the instrumental spectacularly.

2. Bound 2
When it comes to this song, I am honestly at a loss for words. Easily one of the best rap instrumentals of all time, Kanye chops up an innocent soul sample and turns it into an ode to his wife, Kim Kardashian. The day I get sick of this song will be the day I die.

1. POWER
In my opinion, this song is Kanye Omari West's magnum opus. I mean it sincerely when I say that I couldn't find a single flaw to this song if you put a gun to my head. Is it overrated? Maybe. Is it a generic choice? Perhaps. Is it still his best song? Yes. Yes it is.
