I have never thought that I'm the first at anything based on my ethnic, racial, or religious identity. I have never celebrated someone's "first mover" success because they happen to share my ethnic, racial, or religious identity. It is so grotesque and contrary to the spirit of
individual dignity to see the orgiastic display of identity politics that has gripped the zeitgeist. EVERY story is about the first [fill-in the BS tribal membership] to do something. Well, I'm the FIRST Lebanese Jew to have pioneered the field of evolutionary consumption.
I'm also the FIRST Lebanese Jew to have contributed to the field of evolutionary psychology. I'm also the FIRST Lebanese Jew to be a globally known professor. I'm also the best Lebanese Jewish soccer player of all-time. I'm also the FIRST Lebanese Jew to be married to
my wife. I'm also the FIRST Lebanese Jew to hold a university-wide chaired professorship at my university. I'm also the FIRST Lebanese Jewish war refugee to have authored 75+ scientific publications and four books. OR, I am Gad Saad with all of my qualities and faults.
Identity politics is truly and sincerely a cancer to the human spirit. It strips us of the richness of our personhood and lumps us into politically correct digestible little boxes. Reject this disease. Cure yourself of it by honoring your individuality void of tribal shackles.
