//THREAD\\\\ Parris Campbell — Injury Riddled
The speedster (4.31 40
) out of OSU was drafted with the 2.27 pick. Many thought he’d be dominant, but he’s been hampered by injuries.
Can anyone guess if it was recently his Right or Left knee? I can’t quite tell..

Following a PCL injury (non-operative, which is not Parris’ case) mean time to return to competitive sport was 16.4 weeks. 91.3% cases were playing at the same or higher level sport 2 years post-injury. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28566396/
However, other studies have shown that presence of PCL insufficiency leads to degenerative cartilage of the medial femoral condyle (77.8%) & of the patella (46.7%).
This makes sense, given with PCL insufficiency you’ll deal with inherent ligamentous.. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12627150/

...laxity & increased shear force upon joint contact.
In Parris’ case, he did have reconstructive surgery. We don’t know if they repaired just the PCL, or MCL as well.

This retrospective study also revealed 17.6% with combined PCL+ injury were unable to return. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27456530/

•Right Ankle Sprain 2016 (2 gm)
•Hamstring (rookie camp)
•Sports Hernia 9/2019 (3 gm)
•Metacarpal (hand) fracture 11/2019 (4 gm)
•Broken Right Foot 12/2019 (ROS)
•Concussion (8/2020)

I do believe Parris Campbell will be able to return, however given his lack of availability since 2019 & injury risk following his latest PCL/MCL (& likely meniscus) tear, plus unknown QB situation, he is a SELL for me.
What is his value?

•At this stage, he’s likely being traded for an early 3rd. If you can get a late 2nd for him, absolutely do it.
•You could gamble on him returning for a few games, playing well in 2021, & obtaining a future 2nd then.
Risky though given his reinjury risk.

SELL. He is in fact prone to reinjury.
Go get that early 3rd now.
So far by request, I’ve done Tua, Deebo, Sutton, Kittle, Parris, 2021 TEs, & Miles Sanders.
Saquon & OBJ are in the works. Who do you want to see next for an injury thread?
