We need over 2,000 wind turbines to produce as much energy as an average size nuclear power plant.
And when compared with some of the larger ones being built, they equate to over 10,000 wind turbines. This would need over 2,000 square kilometres - or land larger than London, UK.

A modern nuclear power plant produces the same energy as 10,000 industrial scale wind turbines.
The wind farm needed for these would be 40 times the size of Manhattan and would require 6 million cubic metres of concrete - just for the turbine bases!
