Listen, if you work in media and you say you care about “diversity”, please don’t only include diverse voices on your shows when you very specifically need them to talk about their race, or their disability, or their sexuality. Include these people *as themselves*, too.

If you include ‘marginalized voices’ on things but ONLY when it’s to talk about the ways in which they’re marginalized, you’re just pushing them further into that box.

Also: if you reach out to a marginalized person to talk about an issue that pertains to them and you use that topic in your thumbnail and headline, PAY THEM, you absolute trashbags. ***You should pay everyone anyway***, but ESPECIALLY when you’re using their lives for clicks.
