cuz I’m tired. lmfao since i already am finna be barred from work i might as well get it off my chest because what the mayor and janice jackson are proposing is inhumane and they know it. we all know what this is REALLY about. its a game of hot potato.
What this really is about is who will go down as the person or entity costing the city money. Schools control the city. If CTU folds and school resumes this means that other work schedules and economies can get back in order. the problem is that costs lives.
and unfortunately for higher admin and the mayor. We actually do not want us or our students to die. so we resist if we win and successfully resist the reopening of schools and thus the spread of co-vid that then shifts the responsibility back to
the two entities CPS and the City of Chicago to do 1 of two things. 1) play chicken and threatening CTU to go back to work 2) work to push the state for funding to keep families home
meaning finally passing more P-EBT, extending orders on eviction, unemployment benefits etc. nobody wants to put their name on that check and take that fall
because its a smear on their political career to have spent money on saving lives vs lining their pockets and the pockets of their very close friends/investors
so essentially its this only with the CTU, CPS and the City of Chicago. and CTU is the only thing between us and one of the most disastrous outbreaks of co-vid you will see
