I hate saying anything about this publicly but I'm always saddened when a vanilla porn artist i like shits on kinky art for no reason ://
like.... the relationship between media and real life is complex and not a media->irl one-way-street. fucked up stuff is probably sexy to some *because* it exists irl and is terrible, it's not that seeing fucked up stuff will suddenly call it into existence.
and yeah people can find anything they want uncomfortable and avoid it, but what i hate is the idea that *all* porn is supposed be happy and fluffy and 100% okay if reenacted 1:1 irl.
one more and I'm done - the worst argument i just came across was "its okay if the characters are role playing and actually enjoying themselves"... like, yeah but isn't the fantasy they're roleplaying still a thing you don't approve of? whats the extra layer of removal gonna do??
the actual framework of roleplay and safety is you looking at the work in the comfort of your own home and can close it anytime!! goood
haha oops i meant to say when artists i like do this, not that there's one doing this regularly. ofc one just did this, hence [waves hands]
