i think it’s important for settlers to know that not every Indigenous person knows every single thing about their culture because of colonization, and harassing Indig ppl because you want them to educate you on something, whether they know the info or not, is shitty.

also, some practices are closed practices, and should not be told to others outside the community/tribe/nation, so demanding that we disrespect our culture by revealing and teaching closed practices to the outside just because you want to learn, is also shitty.

there’s a line that you shouldn’t cross. sure, you can ask to help with anything, just stop demanding our time to educate you for free when you can google, search key words etc so we don’t have to do the work for you.
