when yall are doing research on spirituality, you dont need to only be doing research on crystals & chakras, research the origins of the practices youre doing too. a part of decolonizing spirituality is giving credit to the cultures who—

originally made these practices, and do them correctly instead of incorporating to the colonization and doing the westernized versions. you also should get rid of your fear of atrs and cultural practices like animal sacrifice too, as these

are sacred practices done by many cultures as well. if you call yourself spiritual, you cannot appropriate, be racist, and you must advocate for the people you're taking bits & pieces from to have your own practices.

this includes researching closed practices & rituals, buying your items for that specific practice from someone who is of that culture and not from amazon, listening to poc who literally were born into these practices, and continuously informing yourself.

being spiritual is to be self aware, and i think that this is the highest form of self awareness.
