Ten years ago, I fell walking down the steps at 5:00 AM. Later, I found out, after working all day, that I had shattered the bones in left foot. A whole nightmare resulted from that one misstep. I ended up with a massive blood clot and pulmonary embolism.
I was given a really small chance of surviving and, with a amazing doctors and lots of love, here I am. Happy 10 year anniversary of living to me. I’m so happy to have met all of you.

A little PSA—don’t text while walking down steps and always advocate for your own health. Sometimes you need a second and even third opinion.
