Making the police stand down as violent crime rises is how they plan to further justify militarizing the police over the next 4 years or just replacing them altogether with a military presence.

Their low information voters will feel like they’ve won (police reform! We did it! Democracy!) while they’ve actually made things so so so so so much worse.

And example: The military presence in DC is evidence* of an ever present threat looming in the shadows- and it is working- as no one is complaining about overreach-Because the establishment framed and blamed the boogeymen who own flags and guns (Very bad. Very “white”. Very sus.)
