THREAD: "Slavery" in Islam.

In Islam, it's forbidden to actively enslave free men and women. Actually, the word "Slave" in Islam, does not allude to the picture one would think of about the American Slavery, or Roman Empire for instance.

In OTHER WORDS: THE WORD "SLAVE" IN ISLAM IS THE WORD USED FOR POWs.

You've guessed it: POWs. What these effing "intellectuals" don't know, is that the Opposing Disbelievers brought women in their war to participate in killing the Muslims. On the other hand, Islam forbiddens killing Children, Women, Elderly and the Insane.

Here is a spree:
1: I came to Ibn 'Umar as he had granted freedom to a slave. He (the narrator further) said: He took hold of a wood or something like it from the earth and said: It (freedom of a slave) has not the reward evert equal to it, but the fact that I heard Allah's

Messenger (way peace be upon him) say: He who slaps his slave or beats him, the expiation for it is that he should set him free.

2: I saw Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) wearing a nice gown, and his slave was also wearing one similar to it. I asked him about it, and he said that he had exchanged harsh words with a person during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and put him to shame by

making a reference to his mother. That person came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and made mention of that to him. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah said, "You are a person who has remnants of the 'Days of Ignorance' in you. Your slaves are your brothers. Allah has placed them

under your authority. He who has his brother under him, should feed him from whatever he eats, and dress him with whatever he wears, and do not burden them (assign burdensome task to them) beyond their capacity; and if you burden them then help them."

3: IN SURAH AL-NOOR And those who cannot afford marriage should keep themselves chaste until Allah enriches them out of His grace. And those of your slaves who wish to enter the contract of Kitābah (emancipation by paying money), contract Kitābah with them, if you recognize some

good in them. And give them out of the wealth of Allah that He has given to you. And do not compel your maids to prostitution - if they wish to observe chastity - in order that you may seek the temporary benefit of the worldly life. If one compels them, then after their being

compelled, Allah is Most-Forgiving, Very-Merciful. Mufti Taqi Usmani Surah Al-Noor 33

4: QURAN"Marry those of you that are single, (whether men or women),0 and those of your male and female slaves that are righteous.51,2 If they are poor, Allah will enrich them out of His Bounty.3 Allah is Immensely Resourceful, All-Knowing"

5: "For one of you to be stabbed in the head with an iron needle is better for him than that he should touch a woman who is not permissible for him.”
Narrated by al-Tabaraani in al-Kabeer, 486. Shaykh al-Albaani said in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 5045, that this hadeeth is saheeh.

6: Amr ibn Al-Harith, the brother of Juwayriyyah, the wife of the Prophet, peace of Allaah be upon him, said, “When the Messenger of Allaah, peace of Allaah be upon him, died he did not leave behind a dinar or a dirham OR A MALE OR A FEMALE SLAVE. He left only his white mule, his

weapon, and a piece of land which he gave in charity.”

7: "He who has a slave-girl and educates and treats her nicely and then manumits and MARRIES her, will get a double reward" (Narrated by Abu Musa, Sahih al-Bukhari 2544, Book 49, Hadith 28)

8: If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, MARRY WOMEN of your choice, Two or three or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or (a captive) that your right hands possess (MARRIAGE), that will be

more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice. (Q. 4:3) And MARRY those among you who are single and those who are fit among your male slaves and your FEMALE SLAVES; if they are needy, Allah will make them free from want out of His grace; and Allah is Ample-giving, Knowing.

(Q. 24:32) Serve God, and join not any partners with Him; AND DO GOOD- to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, those in need, neighbours who are near, neighbours who are strangers, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (ye meet), and what your RIGHT HANDS POSSESS: For God loveth not

the arrogant, the vainglorious (Q. 4:36)

9: Narrated Wa'il ibn Hujr: When a woman went out in the time of the Prophet (pbuh) for prayer, a man attacked her and overpowered (raped) her. She shouted and he went off, and when a man came by, she said: That (man) did such and such to me. And when a company of the Emigrants

came by, she said: That man did such and such to me. They went and seized the man whom they thought had had intercourse with her and brought him to her. She said: Yes, this is he. Then they brought him to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh). When he (the Prophet) was about to pass

sentence, the man who (actually) had assaulted her stood up and said

11: Khalid sent Dhirar bin al-Azwar in a party and they attacked an area of the tribe of Bani Asad. They captured a pretty woman, Dhirar liked her hence he asked his companions to grant her to him and they did so. He then had sexual intercourse with her, when he completed his

mission he felt guilty, and went to Khalid and told him about what he had done. Khalid said: ‘I permit her for you and make it lawful to you’. He said: ‘No, not until you wrote to Umar (about this)’. (Khalid informed Umar about this) and Umar wrote back that he (i.e. Dhirar)

should be stoned (to death). By the time ‘Umar’s message, reached, Dhirar had died. Khalid said: ‘Allah did not want to disgrace Dhirar’ (Al-Bayhaqi’s Sunan al-Kubra, Dar al-Kotob al-Ilmiyya, Beirut, 2003 vol. 9, pp 177, Hadith 18222).

12: Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, did not strike a servant or a woman, and he never struck anything with his hand. (Ṣaḥiḥ Muslim 2328)

13: Narrated Suwaid bin Muqarrin Al-Muzani: “We were seven brothers without a servant except one, and one of us SLAPPED HER, so the Prophet ORDERED US TO FREE HER.”
(Jami` at-Tirmidhi volume 3, Book 18, Hadith 1542) THE FREEING OF SLAVES (see Q. 4:92, 5:89, 58:3, 90:13)

14: "Zadhan reported that Ibn Umar called his slave and he found the marks (of beating) upon his back. He said to him: I have caused you pain. He said: No. But he (Ibn Umar) said: YOU ARE FREE. He then took hold of something from the earth and said: There is no reward for me even

to the weight equal to it. I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: He who beats a slave without cognizable offence of his or slaps him, then expiation for it is that he should set him free. (Translation of Sahih Muslim, The Book of Oaths (Kitab Al-Aiman),

Book 015, Number 4079)"

15: Mu'awiya b. Suwaid reported: I slapped a slave belonging to us and then fled away. I came back just before noon and offered prayer behind my father. He called him (the slave) and me and said: Do as he has done to you. He granted pardon. He (my father) then said: We belonged

to the family of Muqarrin during the lifetime of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him. and had only one slave-girl and one of us slapped her. This news reached Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) and he said: SET HER FREE. They (the members of the family) said: There is

no other servant except she. Thereupon he said: Then employ her and when you can afford to dispense with her services, then set her free. (Sahih Muslim, Book 015, Number 4081)

16: It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever sets free his share of a slave, and he has sufficient wealth to set him free completely by paying the price of the slave, then he should set him free with his own wealth."' (Sunan an-Nasa'i 4699, Book

44, Hadith 251, Vol. 5, Book 44, Hadith 4703)

17:Narrated Asma' bint Abu Bakr: The Prophet (pbuh) ordered us to FREE SLAVES at the time of solar eclipses. (Sahih al-Bukhari 2519, Book 49, Hadith 3, Vol. 3, Book 46, Hadith 695)

Narrated Asma' bint Abu Bakr: We were ordered to free slaves at the time of lunar eclipses.

18:Amr ibn Al-Harith, the brother of Juwayriyyah, the wife of the Prophet, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, said, “When the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, died he did not leave a dinar or a dirham or a male or a female slave. He left only

19It was narrated from Abu Bakr Siddiq(RA) that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "No person who mistreats his slave will enter Paradise." They said: " O Messenger of Allah, did you not tell us that this nation will have more slaves and orphans than any other nation?" He said:

“Yes, so be as kind to them as you are to your own children, and feed them with the same food that you eat." They said: "What will benefit us in this world?" He said: "A horse that is kept ready for fighting in the cause of Allah, and your slave to take care of you, and if he

performs prayer, then he is your brother(in Islam)." (Sunan Ibn Majah 3691, Book 33, Hadith 35, Vol. 5, Book 33, Hadith 3691)

20: Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari: "The Prophet said, "Give food to the hungry, pay a visit to the sick and RELEASE (set free) the one in captivity (by paying his ransom)." (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Food, Meals, Volume 7, Book 65, Number 286)"

21: Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "The slave has his food and clothing. Do not burden a slave with work which he is incapable of doing." (Source: Al-Adab al-Mufrad Al-Bukhari , Nr. 192)

22: Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: "When the slave of anyone amongst you prepares food for him and he serves him after having sat close to (and undergoing the hardship of) heat and smoke, he should make him (the slave) sit along with him

and make him eat (along with him), and if the food seems to run short, then he should spare some portion for him (from his own share) - (another narrator) Dawud said:" i. e. a morsel or two". 4097. (Translation of Sahih Muslim, The Book of Oaths (Kitab Al-Aiman), Book 015, Number

4096)"
