My ideal Wolves rotation moving forward

Russell | McLaughlin
Beasley | Nowell
Okogie | Edwards
Vanderbilt | McDaniels
Towns | Reid

Notes to follow in a thread ⤵️
As much as I loved him as a guy, and player in Minnesota the first time, and in Utah and Phoenix, if Rubio isn't:

A) Running the offense
B) Making others better
C) Defending

There should be consequences if you can't do the job you're asked to do.
In 391 possessions, lineups w/ Rubio and Edwards are -23.2 points per 100 possessions. 0th percentile per Cleaning the Glass.

Lineups with McLaughlin/Edwards are +1.1 points per 100 (58th %) in 230 poss. Remove Juancho from the equation and it's +7.7 (84th %) in 213 poss.
Nowell deserves a legitimate shot.

He plays with great pace, and was a lights-out shooter and dynamic scorer for the Iowa Wolves, who run the same offense as the NBA team.

He spaces the floor well and has real chemistry with McLaughlin and Reid from their time in Iowa.
While I truly believe Culver will be better w/ Towns in the fold, the Wolves can't afford to play 3 non-spacers in JC, JO, and JV. If JC's shooting can rebound, he should play over Nowell because of his great on-ball D. But if it comes down to him or Okogie, give me Okogie.
Okogie can guard 1-4 comfortably and the defensive communication, on and off-ball, is so much better with him on the floor. He's proven it time and time again, while Culver hasn't in a significant sample size.
McDaniels offers real impact on both ends of the floor off the bench. The same cannot be said for Juancho or Layman.

He's been a very consistent, versatile defender who will only get better with more run. Maximizing his impact on his rookie deal will be major for this team.
With Jaden on the floor, the Wolves allow just 102.4 points per 100 poss (94th percentile). He may be foul happy, but given his length and athleticism, I'm thrilled with his aggression on D.

Wolves are +4.5 PP100P w/ him out there (74th percentile). Playing w/ Naz instead of
Davis once KAT comes back will help him a ton offensively w/ attacking the rim and making a better three-level impact on that end of the floor.
Okogie has been a major issue on O, but his defense, especially when Towns has played, has been A+.

When Towns returns, he will be more effective as a cutter and driver because of better spacing.

He's not a horrible corner 3 shooter either. Could start Jaden at the 3, too.
Lastly, Edwards should be coming off the bench for a few reasons.

1) Easier to control his minutes
2) Can be the #1 option against worse defenders and make a bigger impact on the game
3) Build more confidence
4) Have the ball in his hands above the break more often, where he
can attack and get down hill more easily. Spacing with capable shooters in McLaughlin, Nowell, and Reid will help, too.
