Clemson and LSU are both undoubtedly College Football blue bloods, and there’s not much argument against it.

I would consider Miami, FL as a definite blue blood. They’re in the same ballpark as Nebraska, right? But Clemson and LSU are blue bloods for sure.

Being considered a blue blood doesn’t mean that a program has to be elite presently. Disagree? Look at UNC basketball over the past 2 years. Not only have Clemson & LSU both won recent National Titles, but they have been historically solid for decades & have had some great teams.
I’m more than happy to go to the CFB history woodshed with anyone who disagrees, lol.

Miami, FL OWNED CFB during that 20-year stretch from 1984-2003. Incredible dynasty that maintained its elite success despite numerous coaching changes.
They haven’t been great in the past...
decade, but they’ve had some good teams - just enough to qualify as a blue blood, IMO. And, really, they’re in the exact same ballpark as Nebraska, who was less dominant during that stretch than The U, and also has been less nationally relevant for the past decade.

Thanks for doing this, @PickSixPreviews. Awesome idea
I disagree with this. By this rationale, College Football’s all-time winningest program, Michigan, is not a blue blood? If this is the case, it doesn’t look like Texas, CFB’s 3rd all-time winningest program, is far off from losing its blue blood status either. https://twitter.com/darthvader_o/status/1355341298270679052
Seriously, it makes zero sense to consider Nebraska a blue blood and not Miami, FL. @CanesFootball was even more dominant throughout their great stretch than Nebraska was.

(Note: series is tied 6-6)
Not saying that Nebraska isn’t a blue blood - both Nebraska & Miami, FL definitely are. But there’s no consistency in that pattern of thought.
