PRABHU RAM'S JOURNEY FROM MRITYU LOK TO VISHNU DHAAM(महाप्रयाण) AND GOPRATAR TIRTH

There are umpteen number of tirtha's on the confluence of river Saryu and Ghagra. If one just chants the Vaishnav mantra and performs Tarpan to Pittra's along with charity gets manifold benefits

On special days like Amavasya, Purnima etc. Listening to Vishnu katha, singing his praises along with music and dance, one should remain awake the whole night. After morning bath and rituals, charity to Brahmins takes you and your ancestors along with coming

generations towards swarg.

Nearby is Gopratar tirth. It is this place from where Prabhu Ram went to his Param dhaam Yatra.

With all his work complete and after the whole Prithvi was well settled, Prabhu decided to finish his journey as a mortal. All the Vaanars and

residents of Ayodhya were devta's who also had come to Prithvi for the divine work. Rishi Vashishtha was told to make arrangements for this Yatra. The Vaanars and Ayodhya vasi were reluctant to stay back after Prabhu left. They all requested Prabhu to take them along.

So Prabhu gave them instructions as to who would accompany him and who would stay back.

Prabhu Ram told Vibhishan to stay back and look after Lanka. He ordered Hanuman to stay on this Prithvi unto that time that people would remember Ram's name. Mayand and

Dwivid Vaanar were asked to stay back for dharma raksha and to look after Prabhu's family.
So Prabhu Ram along with Rishi Vashishtha carrying the pious Agnihotra walked towards Saryu. Even Vajpeya and Atiratra yagya walked along with him. So also walked Laxmi devi & Lajja devi.

Also walking along with them Bow, arrow & other weapons in human form. Ved walked along Gayatri, Omkar, Rishis, & mountains.All the ladies of the palace along with all his brothers too walked along side. Shri Ram walked with yellow silk clothes carrying Kusha twigs in his hands.

No one was afraid and all walked slowly and silently towards Saryu. Everyone was trying to reach the swarg dwar along with Prabhu Ram.

Brahma met him near the river Saryu. He had brought with him thousands of divine Vimaan. Saryu then felt the feel of Prabhu Ram's feet.

Brahma first paid obeisance to Prabhu and requested him to come in his original swarup. Prabhu Ram acquired the form of Shri Vishnu. The devtas paid respects to Vishnu ji. He then asked Brahmaji to send his followers to a proper Lok. Brahma then replied that all would be sent to

Santanik lok which is above Brahmalok. The Vaanars would enter this lok. Devtas would acquire their former self.Sugriv would go to Suryalok. Rishi's Naag's and Yaksha would also be given a proper abode as per their work.

Saryu now felt complete after this divine prasthaan.

All who entered in the water were given divya lok. From then only this lok is known as Gopratar tirth. It has the ability to give you moksha. A bath on Kartik Purnima is capable of magical results. One who ritually performs puja and does charity to Brahmins on that day

gets Sayujya moksha.
