One Outs is magical. It's not excessively monotone as most high school sports anime nor unrealistic as Kaiji. It's a perfect culmination of suspense mixed with thrills and gambling. This anime doesn't rely on common theme of sports genre, where main cast surpasses their
ordreals and upheavals just through enough hardworks and practices. Right at the beginning we're face slapped with the harsh reality of truth that hardworks don't assure you a success. As the story progesses on, we're shown that humans have physical limits, only the mind is
limitless and never ending. A sports anime filled with pure trickeries and mind games, that's One Outs. Tokuchi Toua is the exemplary figure of how a mysterious character should be characterized. The way he meticulously plays with people's midset and beats every opponents just
through deceptions only, his unknown background and identity but contrasting high intellect, these further adds up layer to his mystery and makes him the most pleasing character to onlook. Every episode is packed with suspense and thrills with very high stakes. Just as the show
makes you believe there's no comeback from the tough situation, Toua makes comback each time with his ingenious plans. One Outs is very awesome at depicting human psychology. It doesn't hesitate itself to show the ugly side of sports. The base of Toua's genius is his gambling
addiction. Consequently, the base of every gambling is reading a person's mind and psychology. Every time Toua makes his plans it's based off him reading his opponents' mind. One Outs is a journey, through and through, of reading a person's psyche.
Truly a spectacular, exemplary show to derive knowledge and meaning within! Overall it's a solid 10. Its art might be a bit underwhelming but considering how twitter gives Ajiin 10/10, I'll give it 10 instead of 9.5 which I intended to give it at first.
Stop beating your meat and watch One Outs
