Personally... teachers should have been 1A priorities; bars should still be closed (drink at home, people).
And we need to expect that every kid under 18 is going to graduate high school at 19 or almost 20 for the next 15 years.

My sibling who teaches is exhausted & thoroughly frustrated.
But the kids will be better off if they, and their parents, and their beloved teachers & trusted adults all live through it.

I’ve worked on a very large public uni campus. It’s a small city of young adults, surrounded by a slightly larger city.
Some 18 year olds are ready to navigate living with 40K people who aren’t real clear consent...
Most aren’t.

Plus parental shame and pressure and self-doubt and a sense of failure.
