/ What do you know about Kuaishou, TikTok's competitor in China, and set to be the largest internet IPO since Uber?

It's a short video & livestreaming platform. But it's a lot more complicated than TikTok. I played with the latest version today, this is what it looks like:
/ In time for Chinese New Year's, it's introduced a new tab where you can play some really simple games and get your shot at getting a piece of Kuaishou's $327mm red packet cash giveaway. Reminds me of Safeway's Monopoly game (for you Americans).
/ A huge differentiator previously btwn Kuaishou & Douyin was that the former was not full screen. Now it defaults to a "Best Of" feed that is full screen. If you drag right, it shows the creator's other videos on the side, I thought this was nice! Other feeds are "two-paneled."
/ Kuaishou, as do many Chinese social media, have trending leaderboards. You do activities inside of the app for "points" that then gets your favorite celebrity / game / content to the top of the leaderboard.
/ As you'd expect a lot of the tasks that get you points are basically related to making or liking videos. The fan community itself also has a leaderboard, so you can see who's contributing the most. It's all gamified to the max.
/ It's currently 2nd largest in ecommerce livestreaming GMV in China, but you can also just buy whenever you want through a feed that looks not too different from Pinduoduo $PDD! Similar to PDD, there is only a Buy Now button, no shopping cart.
