The evangelical pro-life movement often represents the Pharisaical philosophy that Jesus spent his life & ministry combating. It says, “here is a law, you must obey this law while we withhold any support or aid to help you do so, & if you fail at it we’ll judge you as godless.”

Jesus on the other hand says “You are a sinner, you need to repent. You as a fallen creature lack the means, ability, & power to do as you ought. Therefore, I will change your nature to give you means, give you my body on a cross for ability, & give you my Spirit to empower you.

Any gospel oriented posture on abortion will not conclude with mere admonishment. It will include advocacy on behalf of those considering an abortion to ensure they have means, ability, & power to choose the alternative. It also won’t reduce issue to people wanting to do evil.
