A quick story because it might help some other folks
For the last 4 weeks I’ve felt like something has been stuck in my throat.

It would get worse at night, and would be better in the mornings. It was hard to swallow, but didn't hurt and food went down fine
It got so bad that I went to get scoped by an ENT, who was very helpful and found nothing. It’s likely that I’ve been suffering from Globus Pharyngis, which is likely from stress or underlying GERD (made worse by stress)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Globus_pharyngis
I think I have a pretty good handle on stress, but this was the first time I’ve felt a psychosomatic issue that I didn’t feel I had any control over. After learning it wasn't serious, switching to new reflux meds, and taking some time off of work I feel better (though not 100%)
A few lessons

-I thought I was one of those people that could “power through” but that was a bad idea. Stress manifestation is real, and definitely got worse during winter when there were less distractions and I just kept doing more work.
-Reading what other people wrote online on patient communities actually made me feel much better because I didn’t think I was crazy - this is a surprisingly common phenomenon.
