Again, folks can’t blame social media & “cancel culture” & anything else that came into existence in the 21st century for the virulent racism & violence that has been a pattern in this country since its founding, that was prevalent in Europe centuries before that.

Social media & other technology may have an impact on how misinformation & racist conspiracy theories are spread today, but QAnon did not invent anti-Semitism & white supremacists were committing terrorism before social media.

The. Issue. Is. White. Supremacist. Ideology.

Folks keep talking about “domestic extremism”, “Trumpism”, “encrypted apps”... everything except how white supremacy has been mainstream in USA since founding. It’s why the most extreme, terroristic elements were allowed to flourished, why 1/6 insurrection played out as it did.

White supremacy doesn’t just permeate Republican Party. It permeates the police forces, the military & all the mainstream outlets & institutions that enabled “Trumpism” for 4 years, who chose to continually downplay blatant racism & the threat it posed until it hit the Capitol.
