how i am teaching myself a new language (for free) a thread because i am bored
so ur probably thinking "wow no this is impossible u need to have classes" an u are correct that IS the best way to learn a language but thats not an option for most of us

you CAN become completely fluent in a new language. you need immersion + practice + research
immersion-

you need to sURROUND yourself with that language. tv shows, movies, social media etc

talk to people fluent in that language i suggest HelloTalk!! you can talk to people fluent in the language you want to speak and help eachother learn
practice + time

if you REALLY want to learn a language you have to commit to it!

even studying for 15 mins a day will help! you need to be prepared to practice every day for at lEAST a year

how do i practice u may ask WELL download apps!
(cont)

Duolingo- one of the more well known language apps! its very good for practicing and can help you learn different topics in chunk sized bites. The only downside is that not everything is explained.

So do your reasearch on anything you don't understand.
Research

How do i research- look on language forums, ask people fluent in that language, try to get some free pdf textbooks too! google translate is an option too... although try to use it just for words rather than big phrases

experiment and find the apps the work best for u!
Tips:

- don't worry if u can't remember certain things straight away! you'll find the more you practice an go over things, you'll pick up on it

- Notes! make a lot of notes whenever you learn something new

- repitition! be sure to repeat phrases to yourself throughout the day
- just... keep at it! keep immersing yourself. keep practicing, keep researching , keep testing yourself. you cannot move forward if you stop moving
okay thats all i can think of if u have any other advice or tips do tell :D
also! if you are learning a language that doesn't use roman letters (aka languages such as korean , japanese etc) i recommend downloading the google translate app ! it has an option to scan or import images which should show you the pronounciation
