#Coda was an absolutely delightful coming of age story. Witty, inspiring, the care that was taken in the scenes of sign language amongst the family. I was NOT expecting to get emotional, but this was the hardest I’ve cried in a good year. Joyful tears! #SundanceFilmFestival
#Censor felt like an extended version of a story in the VHS franchise. Retro, cult-like vibes, with a love for old school horror. Niamh Algar was both fantastic & chilling, unsettling framing, but the ending just didn’t land for me & felt like the tape got caught up in the VCR.
I LOVED what #HumanFactors did in regards to perspective & structure. Really made me think of other’s POV. However it’s seems to draw on without a clear vision of what is accomplished via the story. More of a “flashy” technique, than actual substance. #SundanceFilmFestival2021
#IWasASimpleMan features gorgeous & serene atmosphere, from the calming ocean waves, sunset, etc. while also having a beautiful message of life & death, but too much of a slow progression, jumps in time, & tonal shifts for my liking. #Sundance
#HowsItEnds is a goofy, quirky “end of the world” trip about loving yourself. It’s strange for sure, but has some great bubbly 90s aesthetic & upbeat music. TONS of cameos that’ll keep you hooked on who will show up next, but unfortunately feels empty & seems like a scattershot.
Turn on SANDSTORM & drop that FAT beat yo! #InTheEarth is a wild psychedelic ride, toeing the line between art & science... I think? Okay, the lighting was gorgeous & dreadful synth score, but the message & story feels a bit muddled in the overwhelming strobe & trippy effects.
#Knocking surprised me. By creating this uncertain & unreliable mental struggle for our main character of supernatural fears or ones that exist here in the real world. Unsettling but effective camerawork, & Cecilia Milocco is wonderfully chilling. #SundanceFilmFestival2021
If you add Europe, The Andy Milonakis Show, & mounds of cocaine into a blender, you’ll get #MotherSchmuckers. Such an insane mix of cheeky YouTube editing gags all the way to an inappropriate pet sex fetish cult. BONKERS... but not a good bonkers.
#OnTheCountOfThree is an amusing & emotional journey of friendship, & what you’d do on your last day of life. Carmichael & Abbott have a great friendship dynamic. The song choices are also so perfectly self-ware. Really makes you think about dwelling on the negatives or positives
#StreetGang #HowWeGotToSesameStreet is an emotional BTS documentary. Just like Mr. Rogers, Sesame Street held that special place in my childhood. The hilarious performances, how it came to be was fascinating, what they created was revolutionary. The Big Bird & Mr Hooper scene 
WOW... #MASS was incredibly intense, nail-biting, & a freaking rollercoaster of emotions. You are the third-party in maybe the most damning conversation, that feeds you a path of breadcrumbs to intrigue, but just enough to keep you in a haze. A masterclass in acting. Seriously WOW
Loved the style of #Passing. Ruth Negga & Tessa Thompson give superb performances & there is an interesting message of identity, but it seems to meander & muddle itself as the film continues til the end. #SundanceFilmFestival2021
#JohnAndTheHole is a bizarro, dark Home Alone, where John throws his family in a hole... that’s it. It has an interesting idea between childhood & becoming an adult. Or maybe I read WAAAYY too much into it.

If you mix up psychedelic mushrooms, LSD, & half a Four Loko, you’ll have #Cryptozoo. Right away the stylized, bright animation puts you in a trance of serene delight. Weird, adventure story, that’s more of trip than a cohesive journey.

#StrawberryMansion was an imaginative journey that fully captured the the random wonder of dreams. Such a unique idea at the core of dreams being taxed by the government & how that could quickly turn into a nightmare. PS theres a waiter frog playing a saxophone

#MarvelousandtheBlackHole is a story of anger, teenage angst, & grief, with cheeky cut aways, ending in a feel good manner. A young girl befriends a magician in an unlikely scenario, helping one another confront their own issues. Miya Cech is delightfully sassy! #Sundance
#Mayday is a fantastical mix of SuckerPunch & the mythological land of Themyscira. Interesting themes of feminism, true-purpose, & wanting a “better life”. Beautiful cinematography, top notch performances. Not all of the ambitious ideas landed for me, like an interpretive dance.
IT’S PRIMETIME FOR CRIMETIME! #PrimeTime is a hell of a tense rollercoaster thrill-ride of what is happening & what is going to happen next. Bartosz Bielenia kills it, being subdued but intense when needed. Wish there was more to his character. Loss of momentum towards the end.
I freaking LOVED #TheBlazingWorld. An aged up, 90’s horror fairytale feel, that is a neon fever dream of AWESOMENESS. Wonderous score, effective musical cues, so many frames could be an art piece on your wall. @carlsonyoung directed, wrote, & was the lead. She was phenomenal! WOW
#PrisonersOfTheGhostland is NUTS! Western/Samurai post-apocalyptic Mad Max flavor with a video game-esque score. Nic Cage really goes balls to the wall here. I mean CRAZY. The story didn’t hit for myself, but the bonkers action, visuals, & weird characters are the family jewels.
