Feel a little bad for the kid who stepped into the "writers compete with one another" ring without, apparently, knowing anything about it. As a writer you are your own competition, trying to write the next book better.
Not bad enough not to tell him he's wrong. But bad enough not to tag him or bring down the Care Bear Start of Sisters in Crime.
