Collins was not only PFF's #1 overall graded LB in 2020, but also the #1 graded coverage LB with a 93.7 grade — the highest coverage grade by a college LB in a season since 2014.
Collins allowed just a 62.2 NFL passer rating when targeted this season. Added 4 picks and 2 PBUs.

An area where he excelled in coverage was vs screen passes - an easy way to show allowed receptions as the primary coverage defender on the stat sheet, and easy to get blocked out of the play.
He allowed a total of -6 yards on 4 catches defending screens as the primary defender.

Never really looks lost on a play. He always comes off as locked in and can diagnose plays quickly and effectively.
In 8 games this year, Collins totalled 11 tackles for a loss or for no gain vs both the pass and the run.

Collins is listed at 6'4", 260lbs, making him a BIG linebacker. But you'd never notice that watching him move. Quick on his feet and can not only cover well, but shows good range vs the run.
Lined up as the right LB he covers a ton of ground to the opposite side for a TFL:

Another good example of him diagnosing a play and blowing it up.
Knows his gap, sees the hole, reads the RB and attacks downhill for a safety:

Collins added 51 pass-rush attempts in 8 games in 2020 for 4 sacks and 16 total pressures for a 90.6 pass-rush grade.
Whether he is lined up on the line of scrimmage or blitzing from the middle, Collins finds a way to affect most plays using his speed, size and athleticism.

I mostly see Collins mocked mid-late first round, but occasionally outside of Rd.1 as well.

A big jump in PFF grade from 2019 to 2020 was helped by some big-time plays including this OT pick-6
