Why small ball?

- Improves first touch
The technique behind using small ball to improve first touch is to increase player ability to control the ball, small ball is very hard to control and players can easily trip over it. It will also increase passing precision and decrease the chance of being
dispossessed
- Gegenpress which is German for counter pressing.
Tuchel once in an interview:
"I give my players 7-12sec to win back the ball after losing it"
Let me explain how small ball is very effective in this.
Using small ball is a challenge, just a pass and the ball could go through four player during counter press. This mean the players will give something extra to win back the ball(small) as it is harder (than when using big ball).
Once players master the art of Gegenpress with small balls using a big ball will be so much easier.

Once this technique is mastered playing against Park Di Bus merchant will be like a walk in the park
