1. League title in 1955, Chelsea’s first ever league title came as early as 1955, for a small club with no history, winning a first league title 66 years ago is quite impressive.
2. Fa cup in 1970, 1997, 2000. The latter 2 triumphs came in the period where Chelsea after their struggles in the 80’s were bouncing back. Zola, vialli, Di Matteo a few of the players in the squad at the time with Gullit as the manager.
3. League cups in 1965, 1998. Another title in the before the 70’s yet we hear that Chelsea were a small club before the money came in.
4. Uefa Youth cups in 1960 and 1961. Back to back titles for the Chelsea youth team.
Here’s the reasons why Chelsea may not have been as successful as they are now before the Roman Abramovich Era, but definitely weren’t a small club.
