You have heard a lot about how anon accounts are being doxxed by Sarah Mojarad. I learned yesterday that I am unfortunately one of those accounts.
SARAH MOJARAD DOXXED ME.
And she could dox you, too.
1/
I chose to be anonymous on #MedTwitter because I am a woman in medicine, a PROUD member of #GayMedTwitter, and a chronically ill person. I know the stigmas I face in this field every day.
I didn’t think I could trust people on this site. I was right.
2/
For context, I have never DM’d Sarah Mojarad before or personally contacted her privately in any way.
As a medical trainee, I find it abhorrent that Sarah is perpetuating lies that I have “harassed her” or am a “bully” simply for calling out her often racist takes.
3/
It is widely known among the anon med student community that Sarah Mojarad and her friends have a history of doxxing medical trainees.
Now she is publicly admitting to it, in fact she claims she is an expert in it.
4/
She accuses trainees of bullying & perpetuates a victim narrative. Yet she is bullying ME. When confronted or asked about problematic takes, she assumes someone is harassing her.
She says she is against doxxing. She doxed me.
5/
The following are three tweets I have openly said about Sarah. In my heart, I believe these tweets to be true and I stand by them. She thinks this is me harassing her. It isn’t. She is purposefully dangerous.
6/
I’ve shared on twitter about having a chronic illness. She used these details to STALK me via Facebook and then cross compared all of the people in my illness support groups to those who fit my home state and age. From my chronic illness, she linked it to my personal facebook.
7/
She then put a monkey over my profile picture and didn’t cover enough details such that 9 people reached out to me knowing who I am. She doxxed me.
This is not okay. This is not normal. This is not safe.
8/
I am not alone. She posted 3 people’s personal photos, covering our faces with monkeys (one woman of whom is a WOC). These are trainees and other students. We are all members of marginalized groups.
9/
One of the most disturbing things is she promotes an article that supports attempting to hack into twitter accounts to find identities. This goes against twitter terms of service. How is she a lecturer?!

I can’t help but wonder...does she use these same tactics on her undergrad students at USC? Or is it only students who ask her about racism and sexism on twitter that she stalks?
11/
It is our right to be anonymous on here. It is also our right to be going to school in a safe place. Sarah Mojarad is not a healthcare worker. She no longer teaches medical students at Keck USC.
So what is she doing?
12/
Since Sarah has already shared enough of my identity, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is BAILEY. I'm a med student, an avid sports fan, a swimmer, & wildlife nerd.
I'm a proud member of #GayMedTwitter and #DocsWithDisabilities
(+ #HockeyMedTwitter & #MarvelMedTwitter)

Doxxing is dangerous. People are anonymous for their safety in abusive situations. Many are struggling with mental health.
Sarah, you post a lot about suicide prevention. It’s ironic given how you cause us so much mental strain.
14/
Trainee suicide is at an all time high. Part of it is because many don’t feel like we belong. Situations like this are big contributors.
Sarah has driven several others into hiding, but I know who I am and I will not cower to bullies and slander.

15/
Sarah - this is not harassment. You are, in fact, harassing me.
I am not stalking you. You are stalking ME. I am asking you to please STOP stalking my friends and I.
Stop using us to get paid as a “Sci comm expert”.
16/
Calling out systemic wrongs is hard, ending the racism, sexism, bigotry, and toxicity in med is a lifelong process.
I worried my progressive views would be too against the grain.
Sarah doxxing people like me is so dangerous to our mental and physical wellbeing.
17/
If anyone would like to write an op-ed with me about this experience or how unsafe it is to be on Twitter as a LGTBQ+ or chronically disabled person, lmk.
She is claiming her posts aren’t about us ( #MedTwitter)….IT’S MY PHOTO SHE POSTED
18/
If you are still reading this, just want to say thank you. Didn’t know I would have to defend my chronic illness or being LGTBQ+ to a non-healthcare worker for calling out her racist takes but here we are
19/
P.S. Sarah, I am not going anywhere, I have every right to be on Twitter as a trainee.
Multiple attendings and trainees support me.
I have had you blocked for 7 months. I do not wish to interact with you ever again. Get help. You are the “mob”.
