DON’T CLAIM EXPERTISE.
CHASE IT.

A thread...
Be an expert.
What is an expert?
*It doesn't mean your always right.
“An expert is someone who knows some of the worst mistakes that can be made in his subject, and how to avoid them.”
$1 TO CUT THE WIRE +
$399 FOR KNOWING WHAT WIRE TO CUT.
Why?
It is not about the endstate, but the process of getting there.
Are there experts or are experts people who chase expertise? It’s the latter.
How do you chase expertise?
Step one is admitting how much you don’t know, step two is learning, which then brings you back to step one. How do you increase knowledge?
Assign self projects. Follow people online. Study their work. Subscribe to newsletters. Look for mentorship.

The knowledge of the world is at your fingertips.
Just because you have experience with something does not mean you have the skills to execute it. Just because we use a kitchen, doesn’t make us kitchen designers.
Everyone is busy, but chasing expertise is an investment in your future. Prioritize it.
Get comfortable getting uncomfortable. Everything in life in compounding interest. Keep making deposits.
Environments change, tools change, platforms change, skills needed to perform your job will change. The world doesn’t operate in a vacuum. Make sure you’re not.
The best way to not expire? Always assume you are not an expert and you need to learn more.
Your job roles change, your life roles change. Study the place you want go, look at the work you want to do, find others doing it, learn from them.
People that claim they're experts are a little suspicious, it is the chase that makes it. Real experts have imposter syndrome because they know how much they don’t know. They are not going to tell you, they are going to show you through their work. Don’t claim expertise, chase it
