1 Sample Data from Cohort Studied

Age Group 0-19 Years Old. They were only 53/5500 cases of Covid, that were admitted and then discharged results.

You will note that for this age group the LoS has reduced throughout the past 9 months, from 3 days to just over 1.1 days.
2 Also noteworthy of this age group admitted in the study group that 20% were admitted and discharged on the same day. 1 in 5.

Only one patient in the study spent any significant time in hospital (11 days).
3 Of those 53 patients only 11 patients according to the data were admitted for Covid. Which indicates that potentially 42 other 0-19 yrs patients were readmitted. 79% - this indicates either (Asymptomatic/No Symptoms on admission developed later or caught virus in Hospital)
4 No Data is available on whether any of the patients were in ICU or Ventilated in the Cohort age group, however, only 1 patient spent significant time in Hospital so it is likely that a maximum of 1 may have required specialist ICU / Ventilation Support.
5 What is clear (although the cohort size for this age group is very small) that under 19s seemed less likely to spend time in hospital during waves 2 and 3 than in wave 1. This indicates that fear stories that it is younger people in this wave were not validated by this data
