Thinking tough love is mean and unkind is actually a blatant distortion of feminine divinity. Tough love IS unconditional love.

We have countless examples of the Divine Mother as both creator of new life and destroyer of illusions and falsehood.
One of my guides, the saint Anandamayi Ma was a true embodiment of the Cosmic mother. It was well known about her that like the Divine mother she could be exceedingly compassionate at one time and cruel at another. Whatever approach was necessary to free others from delusion.
In Western culture the Divine mother is most misunderstood. Because it is a culture of coddling and enabling distortions. Putting band-aids on everything that is unpleasant. Pushing away discomfort. Indulgence and entitlement. And anything to satisfy the ego senses.
She could care less about being likable.
