You can download it on your computer. It's a browser extension.
Alternatively, go to the app store on your Android or iPhone. It's there too.
As part of the setup process, you will choose a password.

WRITE. THIS. DOWN.
Take it down and guard it like the map to Davey Jones' Locker.
THESE ARE THE ONLY WAY TO RECOVER YOUR ACCOUNT.
DO NOT LOSE.

Once you're all setup, your MetaMask wallet is going to look something like the picture below.
See where it says Crypto Address? That's where your actual address will be.
It'll be a random arrangement of letters, numbers, etc.
Click on it to copy to your clipboard

We gonna make it yours now. FOR REAL
Go to your CoinBase account.
Find the send function (mobile screenshots)
Eventually, it's going to ask where you want to send it to.
PASTE THE ADDRESS FROM METAMASK

Check it twice. Three times.
It's probably fine but you really don't want to accidentally send your crypto into space.

Depending on the network, could take a couple minutes to arrive in your MetaMask Wallet. But once it does...
Congrats! You now have your own dedicated wallet and no one can take that away from you (literally).

Final note:
If you need to send it back (to sell it into USD), it's the same process in reverse.
Hit that send button in MetaMask and send it to your CoinBase Wallet address.
