Peple logically know pimping & sex trafficking are the same but a rapper can rap about pimping all day & then be named in connectiom to sex trafficking IRL and its like "OMG!" That same thing just doesnt happen when a rapper raps about drugs and then gets drug charges/allegations
Like, the culture having a socially acceptable word for a form of sex trafficking is weird AF. Ive tweeted about this before and i admittedly didnt make these connections until i clerked on a judge's criminal docket when i was younger but still solidly an adult
I just so clearly remember reading a case file & the charges said sex trafficking and i was like, "Judge, this just sounds like regular old pimping" and he looked at me like, "take a second and figure it all out Fred." My dumbass was really like đź’ˇ
