My personal thoughts on reviewing is I don't give under three stars. Now haters, before you pounce, it's not that I give false reviews, but if I'm not getting into a book- the writing style doesn't work for me, or I'm not into the subject matter, whatever the reason...

I stop reading after three chapters and shelf the book. Reasons? First, I'm not going to force myself to read something I'm not into. Second, who am I to criticize another's creative work and give a bad review? Just because I don't get it doesn't mean it's bad.

Do not ghost an author if you shelf their work. They know you're reading it. How will we grow if we don't have difficult conversations? I shelved a book I was asked to read. I respectfully explained to the author why I was not connecting. She was appreciative- we remain friends.

But overall, I greatly enjoy almost all the books I've encountered here in the #WritingCommunity. Thank you for considering my thoughts. And please review!
