There is a list being shared around AB of 'rogue' restaurants which are opening in spite of restrictions. I'm not going to share it, but considering every one of the businesses is in a rural AB area, this will impact Edmonton and Calgary ICUs.
The closest hospitals to these covid-buffets in some cases don't even have ventilators. What does this mean for ambulance service in areas where they're woefully underserved on a good day?
It means people who need medical attention who didn't willfully contract Covid, will die. Plain and simple. People who could be saved will not get the care they need because some asshole wants to stick it to the man by eating a meal in a room jam packed with other assholes.
If you're thinking about going to one of these restaurants while we're 11 months into a pandemic you're a lost cause. Write DNR (y'know, for Do Not Restrict) on your forehead in sharpie so we know that you're fighting the man. I'm sure the greasy burger is worth it.
Ezra's racist webjournal is reporting 200-person lineups at one 'whistlestop'. So it's clearly not about money because they could serve take-out and make a killing. It's virtue-signalling with a far-right flair.
