I swear to all that is good, the Red Scare has to have been one of the most brain scrambling things to have happened in recent history when it comes to helping the people.
People are so scared of socialism/communism now, they don't even freaking learn what it is.

Hating communism is taught from such a young age by the boomers that when you actually learn about it in your Economics class, you don't care about what it actually means.

It's so fucking hilarious when you spout communist ideals to working-class republicans, and they are all for it right up until you say that that is communism, then they hate the idea. Liberals are more likely to recognize it for what it is, and so then hate it out of principle.

Which, mind you, is why Liberals are worse. They are smart enough, and filled with just little enough propoganda, to recognize good things and then say "No" to them, while Conservatives tend to just be filled with propoganda to the point of not recognizing it.
