Even if @copfs refuses to release the actual content of these WhatsApp and Text messages they COULD publicly confirm or deny their existence.

There is no way to square the "evidence" that @PeterMurrell gave under oath to the Inquiry and the fact that @copfs HOLD these messages and are refusing to release them to MSPs.
Perjury carries with it a 5 year prison sentence on conviction. This is not trivial stuff.

What compounds this alleged perjury is that even after being asked THREE times if he was aware of other similar messages Murrell says no. Murrell later wrote to Inquiry to correct certain parts of his oral evidence AND could have corrected fact he WAS aware of other messages...!
