This @CBCNews article about Canada Post workers refusing to deliver the #EpochTimes is missing some important context.

I've written about the Epoch Media Group a couple of times for @engadget, and they're about as shady as they come. As of 2019, they've been banned from advertising on Facebook. https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-news/epoch-times-begins-hiding-its-connection-huge-pro-trump-ad-n1045416
They spent more than $2 million dollars on ads promoting conspiracy theories and attacking Trump opponents, and tried to hide it all under group names like "Honest Paper." (You have to do something pretty bad for Facebook not want to take your money)
Did that stop them from trying to spread conspiracy theories? No. They then went on to carry out a sophisticated misinformation campaign that used AI to cover its tracks. https://www.engadget.com/2019-12-20-facebook-bans-misleading-account-network.html
Major props to @snopes for uncovering all of this. https://www.snopes.com/news/2019/11/12/bl-fake-profiles/
This is an organization that has actively tried to undermine western democracies to further its aims. Those workers showed better judgment than Canada Post. Our federal postal service should not be aiding the Epoch Times spread their harmful propaganda to anyone.
