normalize being fine with someone who's not an "organizer." normalize not giving a shit about the latest political theater or whatever the news is peddling any given week. many well-motivated activists wind up supporting agendas of the wealthy without even knowing it.

it's not healthy (for you or for your community) to define your entire existence by membership in a political clan.

your desire to do good in this world is a WEAKNESS and power attacks this weakness directly through media, manipulating your altruism and channeling it into unknowing support for their own self-interest.
if you're not always conscious of this, you are falling victim to it.

if you focus your ethical instincts on the space you actually inhabit and on your relations with the people who actually surround you, this is harder to manipulate. the moment you start fantasizing about changing the world, they've probably got you.
