An underrated TV movie about the Watts riots in '65. Though it was good enough to score James Earl Jones an Emmy, and Cicely shines as the mother of Robert Richardson, the journalist who was 1st on the scene
Cicely and Raymond St Jacques as a couple looking to buy a house in the suburbs from an affluent white couple in Neighbors, made in '71 for Armchair Theatre. As much of a horror as Get Out, but without the visceral horror.

Cicely was nominated for an Oscar for her role as Rebecca in Sounder, produced by the Mattel Toy Co. Sadly she didn't win, and Mattel never produced a Cicely Tyson action figure. She did recieve an honourary Oscar in 2019 though
