So I know #ItsaSin has a lot of ppl discussing some of the advancements we’ve had in HIV care, mainly I’ve seen PrEP, U=U and prevention being discussed, but I feel we’ve missed discussing how things have changed for PLWHIV maybe?
Like how ARVs are getting better and better, with minimal/no side effects. Injectable ARVS are just around the corner, taking away the need for a daily pill.
And how life expectancy and standard of living is now the same as someone living without HIV.
And how life expectancy and standard of living is now the same as someone living without HIV.
Not waiting to start treatment anymore means we can stop ppl ever getting symptoms of HIV at all.
Ofc U=U and PrEP are amazing tools in stopping HIV transmission and should ofc be talked about/pushed and celebrated there’s also a lot more we should be proud of
