🧵 If truly trying to dismantle anti-Black Racism it cannot be that the same people who don’t/didn’t seem to think it is a problem or notice it’s seriousness until now - that we are at a tipping point, who are central and centred in creating a plan.
Checkboxes, Bandaids, Performance, Putting out fires, Tokenism, Distraction, Erasure and Co-Opting if tangled in the action plan to dismantle anti-Black racism then the plan will not create any meaningful policy change for Black students K-12, Black families, and Black staff.
The @BLKteachDPCDSB presented to the board findings, action plan, recommendations, timelines etc. in late Oct 2020. We have not been invited to collaborate with #DPCDSB again as a collective. At the halfway point in the school year hard follow-up questions need to be asked.
