A bit over a year ago, a hunter killed Lucky's parents, and someone brought him to us. He was the only one that survived between his siblings (hence the name). He's grown a bit over time and he's become an ambassador in his own right for his species, the striped hyena
So my fam runs an NGO called the Animal Encounter, an educational center for wildlife conservation. We've been helping wild animals since '93 and helping them is our main mission. We're on ig and fb, so check us out there!

Okay since this is apparently going viral, let's go over some common misconceptions:

Hyenas aren't dangerous to us humans, they're scavengers and only eat dead things. There are stories that they can hurt people, eat them, tickle them to death. They're all MYTHS
Hyenas have some of the strongest jaws between all species, with over 7500 kPa (for reference, an adult elephant exerts 240kPa on the ground), so they crush bones, digest them (their stomach acids are powerful too), then poop the extra nutrients to be recycled in the environment
The hyenas you see in the Lion King are the SPOTTED hyenas, not the striped ones. The spotted ones can go in packs while the ones here go out in groups of 2 max. They come close to people's homes because 1. We cut down their homes and 2. The trash we throw has food.
The striped hyenas have a flight response, not a fight response, so if you see one in the wild, they WILL run away. Just don't interact with them and you'll be good to go. Also, don't play dead. They're scavengers. They eat dead things.
