While ontario was dealing to the high school antics of its provincial science table, a real and serious problem was brewing. Our food banks and homeless shelters are apparently cracking under the strain brought about by their inept understanding of societal function. 1/
Perhaps surprising to those with a guaranteed paycheck and who dream of quack modeling, the loss of small business operations is driving up homelessness and food bank demand. Shelter crowding is driving C19 outbreaks. Its serious and it requires immediate attention. 2/
It's time for Toronto's Mayor ( @JohnTory) and public health officer ( @epdevilla) to lay off the virtue signaling and roll up their sleeves. You have a city in crisis and nobody wants to hear about google mobility patterns or how to cook asparagus. 3/
This is real life for far too many and it isn't a game. Their rhetoric hasn't matched their ground game for quite some time. The best solution is to get people back to work and to admit that many of their kooky public health measures have failed and are causing serious harm. 4/
It is time for Ontarians to apply pressure to all levels of gov't. Pick your medium and elevate your voice. As to those with a guaranteed paycheck, you should think of sharing it with the agencies that need it. Perhaps then, we would all be in it together. End.
