Reminder: despite media representation and fanservice, lgbt teens in korea face massive discrimination and homophobia. I believe the statistic was like 92% of teens faced hateful comments
Imagine if a schoolmate who didn’t like Sunㅇㅇ wanted to dig shit up and spread rumors. They would just have to look up the gay tag, and post stuff completely out of context onto the school bulletin, causing a large majority of his school to see
I mean, yeah I think it’s funny sometimes when they’re like omg haha idk yeonbin gay, but first of all, sun00 is a MINOR. Secondly, he hasn’t warranted as much “gay” behavior other than acting feminine and cute. That’s not the same as being gay.
Stop reinforcing that gay people act a certain way. If he, or any other idol were to come out, I would accept them with a loving heart and cry for them bc I know how fucking hard it is to be queer in the korean community
Do you know how fucking scary it is being outed to thousands of people in the korean community? I do. If you haven’t even experienced it, who are you to tell me I’m over exaggerating? Do you think your kdramas and edited clips are reality? Do you think Korea is some heaven?
The Seoul education board literally tried to pass a bill that would protect lgbt students and you know what fucking happened? Over 10,000 parents signed a petition to stop it after catching word of it. Who knows how many more have signed already?
I don’t even know how many are silently resenting it. They signed a petition against a literal bill that would protect lgbt students rights to a safe education just bc “they have a right not to see gay people”
Why does he even need a label on sexuality? He’s perfect just for being him. Why is there discourse over smth? I get where y’all are coming from but some people are taking it too far than a passing joke
Also, personally, I don’t think the tags themself will upset Sun0o hes chill and understanding but the world isn’t just him. Unfortunately, it’s a lot of hateful people too and we can’t just be shortsighted abt who it can reach
