Mental illness isn't just feeling bad or lonely.
It can't be cured with one walk or a video call.
It doesn't go away after a few days. 2/

It can be completely life-altering. We talk about support, because without it, #MentalIllness can suck your health away entirely. It has endless variants. And sometimes the things we use to treat it - food, drugs, alcohol, gaming, gambling - leave us permanently ill. 3/
#MentalIllness can seem incurable, which is exhausting, and can make seeking support that much tougher.
Therapy is expensive and medication can be fraught with trial and error. For so, so many, the cost of treatment makes it inaccessible. 4/

When someone says "I'm not okay," please do not brush them off or assume it's minor. We can't #EndStigma until we collectively give #MentalHealth & #MentalIllness the same attention we give other diseases and illnesses. 5/
