In today’s episode of Jordan Tax Service is the actual worst, they sent us a delinquent tax notice for 2020 county taxes on the house we sold in September of 2019.
“Oh sorry we didn’t update our records”..
So you send out a collection notice without even looking if you’ve got the right person.
It doesn’t reference the address, just a parcel number. You know how many people wouldn’t even know how to check a parcel number?
So people probably end up paying bills that aren’t theirs (especially elderly folks) OR disregard it when they see their taxes ARE paid and then end up having it reduced to judgment.
Moral of the story - be skeptical of anything you ever receive from JTS
