A Bakchod's lens to the Robinhood Saga.

Companies are run by executives. These are just regular people making decisions on the fly.

The issue is most of today's executives got ahead by playing several games are necessary evils of a corporate culture... (1/n)
Such as -- access politics with the CEO, method over substance, input KPIs over output, and risk mitigation over experimentation, and finally - the least discussed of them all -- manicured professionalism. https://twitter.com/akshaybd/status/1292983708757061633?s=20
The problem is -- the internet is the antithesis of all of this.

Until these companies stop rolling their eyes at bakchods, they will keep losing to the internet.

If you still think I'm joking about this thing -- you've no idea what's going on.
For eg., the PR team sent the poor Robinhood CEO on CNBC while the war was on Twitter. This word salad will cost Robinhood a few billion dollars in market cap. https://twitter.com/JeffTutorials/status/1354954683857727492?s=20
If you're an executive/CEO reading this -- hire young people and give them a chance. You're going to save yourselves from the biggest power and wealth transfer that's about to go down.

The opposite of manicured professionalism is UNLEADED BAKCHODISM.

LONG BAKCHODS 🚀🚀🚀
