I am fit to be tied. Tonight was supposed to budget work session #2 for RPS. If you recall, the first budget work session was spent hearing a presentation that was left over from the SB meeting. Then they went into closed session.
So tonight was...more and more discussion of that same presentation & with more really thoughtful questions from SB representatives (yay!). But then, at almost till 8pm...they go into closed session...again! Monday is THE one and only public hearing on the budget...
The proposed budget that has not yet been discussed amongst the representatives. So the public hasn’t heard rationales for this said priority or that dollar amount and why. And when public comment is being limited to only one minute,
Our ability to offer meaningful feedback is hindered by the lack of budget discussion for two budget sessions now.
